Infant Formulae

By applying over 20 years experience of research, formulation and production of infant formulae, Nutracare has developed its premium quality infant formulae, by working closely with our manufacturers and suppliers.  Product quality for baby formulae is always Nutracrare’s first and most consideration, Nutracare always use only the best quality ingredients and New Zealand Food Safety Authority certified facilities.

Nutracare’s Formulae are scientifically formulated to help your child thrive.

It is the objective of infant formula to closely mimic the nutrition profile of human breast milk while meeting the nutritional guidelines set by legislation. It is therefore the aim of Nutracare’s formulae range to provide a balanced infant formula that provides essential nutrients to infants where human breast milk is not available.

Milk powders naturally contain a range of nutrients. The main proteins in milk are whey and casein. Breast milk has a whey to casein ratio of 60:40. Stages 1 and 2 of Nutracare’s formulae range, such as the Zeabica range, have a whey to casein ratio of 60:40 to mimic the breast milk profile.

Vegetable oil is added to achieve a fatty acid profile comparable to human milk.  So Nutracare’s Formulae are easy for your baby to digest and absorb.  Our formulae are enriched with minerals and vitamins to give babies and toddlers the goodness they need to grow.

Nutracare’s product ranges contain no added sucrose, no solvents, no artificial colorings or flavorings and no melamine or melamine derivatives.

The Ingredients

Nutracare, together with its manufacturers and suppliers, only source the best quality ingredients to ensure the consistent quality delivery.   Our products use only the premium 100% pure New Zealand milk predominantly from Fonterra.  All ingredients have been certified for its quality and intended applications.  Specific ingredients, such as DHA, ARA, Choline, Iron, Selenium, GOS, are then blended at optimum levels to deliver balanced, nutritious, and digestible baby formulae.

The Process and Control

Nutracare’s Formulae are made and packed in New Zealand.  It’s carefully monitored at every step of the production process to make sure it’s safe for babies and toddlers.

New Zealand has a moderate climate, lush grass and no pests or diseases. New Zealand cows graze on pastures and New Zealand farmers don’t use artificial feeding and pesticides.

New Zealand government has banned the use of antibiotics in feed, and the practice of giving hormone injections and prolactin to dairy cows. New Zealand has never had a case of BSE or foot and mouth disease.  Nutracare’s Formulae use only pure and best quality of  New Zealand milk to keep your child healthier.

Applying the best manufacturing practices, Nutracare’s products are produced and packaged in New Zealand’s leading manufacturing plants under regulations similar to those used in pharmaceutical manufacturing plants that are certified and monitored by New Zealand Food Safety Authority.  Every stage of the manufacturing process is inspected and tested to ensure every batch of production satisfy its internal as well as international standards.

Whey Protein Concentrate and refined vegetable oils are used because it closely resembles human milk and is easy for your baby to digest. Whey Protein Concentrate is also digested at a similar rate to human milk, to help your baby develop a feeding pattern closer to that of a breast‐fed infant.

Additionally, Probiotics or ‘good bacteria’ such as GOS and Polyfructose are added to Nutracare’s formula to help with your baby’s digestive system.
